Your photo
AnimalKingdom.style reads your animal photo inside your own browser. The photo is never uploaded or sent anywhere.
The animal check
AnimalKingdom.style also checks what animal is in your photo, so it can turn away photos that are not animals and design the outfit from the animal. This check runs on your device too.
To do it, AnimalKingdom.style uses a small image model. The first time you add a photo, your browser downloads that model (about 7 MB) from this site. It is Google's MobileNet, an open source model, and it comes as plain files, like the scripts on this page. Your browser may keep the files so later checks are quick.
Only the model comes to you. The photo itself never leaves your device, not for the check and not for anything else. If the model cannot load, for example when you are offline, AnimalKingdom.style skips the check and uses the colors only.
Your measurements and choices
Your measurements, your look choices and your shop choice are saved in your browser, so they are still there next time. They stay on your device. To remove them, clear this site's data in your browser settings.
Sewing patterns
When you sew a piece yourself, AnimalKingdom.style drafts the pattern and builds the PDF inside your browser, using the free FreeSewing pattern tools that come with this site. Your sewing measurements are saved in your browser too, and you can forget them at any time from the sewing panel. None of them are sent anywhere.
What goes to shops
When you click a shopping link, that shop gets the search words for the piece, such as "womens rust linen shirt medium" at Amazon or "rust cotton twill" at a fabric shop. Nothing else from AnimalKingdom.style goes with them.
The fabric shop links (Blackbird Fabrics, Fabricland, Fabricville and Simplifi Fabric) and the Spoonflower links are plain links, and AnimalKingdom.style earns nothing from them. If you upload a color square or a print file to Spoonflower, you send that file yourself. AnimalKingdom.style makes those files on your device.
Links on this site may carry an Amazon Associates tag. It tells Amazon the visit came from AnimalKingdom.style, so the owner of this site can earn a fee if you buy. It does not change your price.
Amazon and other third parties may place and read cookies on your browser, or use web beacons, to collect information when you visit Amazon through these links. Amazon's own privacy notice explains how Amazon uses that information.
Outfit photos
"See it for real" makes a realistic photo of your outfit. It only runs when you press its button. Then your browser sends this site's server the outfit's piece names, colors, and the small animal print tile Fauve drew. Your animal photo is never sent, and neither are your measurements.
The server asks Cloudflare Workers AI, an image model Cloudflare runs, to draw the photo, and sends it straight back to you. The photo is not kept. To keep the feature fair and free, the server counts photos per day. It stores a scrambled code made from your internet address and the date, never the address itself, and it deletes the count after two days.
Before each photo, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are a person, usually without asking you anything. Turnstile reads some technical signals from your browser to do this, which Cloudflare uses to run and improve the check. See Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy notice.
Other services this site uses
- The fonts load from Google Fonts. Like any web request, Google sees your IP address when your browser asks for them.
- The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps standard request logs to run and protect the service.
